British Rowing is looking for a dynamic individual to join our expanding team supporting the GB Beach Sprint programme.

British Rowing is looking for a dynamic individual to join our expanding team supporting the GB Beach Sprint programme. Beach Sprints is an exciting new rowing format, which has recently been confirmed as a new sport at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Australia, and is under consideration for inclusion in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

We are looking for an individual who has the skills and experience to provide ‘beach-side’ first aid support, as well as delivery of physiotherapy services at targeted training days/camps, selection trials and competitions at selected days through the year.

About You

You should be an enthusiastic individual, who enjoys working as part of a team and can use your technical skills and experiences to help develop the GB Beach Sprint team programme. You will be a qualified physiotherapist, with experience of working in a performance sport environment including a role as a first responder for acute trauma management, for example pitch side first aid-cover in a team sport. Advanced training/experience of dealing with trauma injuries and working within a water sports environment are highly desirable.

About Us

We are the national governing body for rowing, responsible for supporting grassroots rowers in England, and the selection of England and GB Teams ready for international competition including the Olympics, Paralympics and World Championships.

This role will play a vital part in the successful development of the Beach Sprints format and the future success of the team.

Our Offer

This is a part time role, covering 30 days per year, on agreed dates to cover selected training days/camps, selection trials and competitions. The role will be paid at a day rate to be agreed, plus expenses. You’ll also form part of the wider British Rowing Sports Science and Medicine team of staff and contractors, which will provide significant networking and development opportunities.
