Coach Developer – Olympic Pathway

We are looking for someone with experience of supporting coaches and people development, with the ability to build, shape and deliver an innovative coach development programme for performance coaches.

The Role

The GB Rowing Team’s aim is to create an Olympic pathway that is open, accessible and clear, so that any individual who has the potential to row for Great Britain can achieve their ambitions.

The post-holder will play a key leadership role within the Pathway, building and shaping a transformative model for supporting the development of coaches across British Rowing’s Olympic Pathway, with a particular focus on performance coaches who are supporting athletes with future Olympic potential. This role will be pivotal in the evolution of the coaches in the Pathway and also a fantastic opportunity for someone to support the learning and development of these coaches.

We are looking for someone with experience of supporting coaches and people development, with the ability to build, shape and deliver an innovative coach development programme for performance coaches. You will have the ability to build rapport, credibility and maintain relationships with a wide range of coaches and other partners, to achieve progressively higher standards of performance with the specific goal of international success.

The position of Coach Developer – Olympic Pathway is a full-time paid role. You will be joining British Rowing at a time of transformative change, leading a new way of working with the community to connect coaches across all aspects of the pathway, developing future generations of high performance coaches, and shaping the system to develop rowing talent across Great Britain.

Initial interviews are scheduled to take place on Fri 31 March. The interview process is likely to be a 2-part process with the first interview being virtual and those successful in being invited to a second interview required to attend an in-person interview. Second interviews will take place either at the British Rowing National Training Centre, Caversham or Bisham Abbey or British Rowing’s HQ in Hammersmith week beginning Monday 3 April.
