Cambridge University Boat Club – Assistant Coach (Women’s Squad)

The new Assistant Coach will join the coaching team at CUBC and report directly to CUBC’s Women’s Chief Coach. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated and have relevant experience as a coach or as a top-level athlete.

The Women’s Assistant Coach plays a key supporting role in preparing CUBC’s squad for the Boat Race, National Trials and summer regattas such as Henley Royal Regatta. The role includes specific responsibility for coaching Blondie, the women’s reserve crew.

Candidates must be able to work in the UK and the following competencies are desirable:

  •  Strong personal credibility and integrity; a figure for whom the athletes will want to win.
  •  Relevant success as a rower or cox competing at the highest level.
  •  Expert knowledge of the Tideway or competing in tidal conditions.
  •  Understanding of, and empathy with, the CUBC system. • Current driver’s licence

The Club is seeking to make a prompt appointment to this important role in order that the successful applicant join CUBC as close as possible to the commencement of the 2024 Boat Race programme in early September.
