Dan says his career highlight was the 2016 season, where he coached the women’s double to gold at the 2016 U23 World Rowing Championships and had five World Medallists from the Reading Start group. He adds: “It was also special seeing Matt Gotrel go on to become Olympic Champion; an athlete I talent spotted and coached while I was an undergrad at Loughborough”.
Outside of rowing, Dan’s hobbies include running and mountain climbing, “preferably together”: after the 2017 World Rowing Championships he ran 33 mountains around the UK in 8 days.
