Molesey gearing up for 2013 Regatta
Now in its 146th year, the Molesey Regatta is set to combine fierce and fun races with a host of activities and entertainment for spectators.
Taking place on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July, up to 350 adult and junior crews will race over an 850m or 500m sheltered course on the River Thames.
As well as watching the racing on a particularly picturesque, tree-lined section of the Thames, spectators will also be able to visit marquees featuring teas, cakes and sandwiches, a bar selling real ale and other drinks, shops with costume jewellery, scarfs and handbags, paintings, dresses, wood craft and postcards. There will also be a luncheon tent and a Pimms bar.
Following Saturday’s racing, the Elmbridge Big Band will perform an All That Jazz concert.
