Rule-change ahead of 2011 World Rowing Coastal Championships

Coastal Rowing

FISA has announced a series of new regulations ahead of the fifth annual World Rowing Coastal Championships in Bari, Italy.

The 2011 championships are taking place from 21st to 23rd October, with FISA’s new rules designed to ‘allow coastal rowing to continue to grow and to find its own unique place in the sporting landscape.’

A number of the changes are small, and intended to hone the flexibility of coastal rowing, whilst others – including beach starts – are developmental.

For a full list of the new FISA coastal rowing regulations, please see the Rules of Racing.

Please send all entry forms and accompanying paperwork to Pippa Randolph at British Rowing HQ for endorsement by Thursday 22nd September at the latest.

British Rowing will then forward entries to FISA by the closing date of 3rd October.
