The first ever crossing from Choshi, Japan to the Golden Gate Bridge

Ocean rowers Mick Dawson and Chris Martin are expected to complete the first ever crossing from Choshi, Japan to the Golden Gate Bridge today.

The pair have been at sea since May 8th and have been avoiding tankers, fishing boats, being hit by a whale, numerous storms and bad seas.  Mick and Chris will finally row under the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco Bay later today and be reunited with friends and loved ones at the Golden Gate Yacht Club before a well earned rest and flying home in the next few days.
