Goring Gap BC and Reading RC raise £3000 for The Lymphoma Association

On 2nd August 2009, 23 rowers and coxes from the Goring Gap Boat Club and Reading Rowing Club took part in a sponsored row from Wallingford to Pangbourne.

The row was in memory of Jeff Cronyn and raised money for the Lymphoma Association.  The target to be raised was £3000 of which all of this has now been achieved.

After a splendid effort, the rowers were treated to a magnificent barbecue laid on by the Boat Club.  The whole event was organised by Heidi Clark, whose hard work and enthusiasm contributed overwhelmingly to the success of the day. Many thanks go to her and all her helpers and also to Oxford Brooks Rowing Club for allowing the rowers to use  their landing stages.
