CRB Checks
Applying for your form
British Rowing's procedure for obtaining a CRB Disclosure changed on 1st January 2008. You should now apply directly to British Rowing for your application form. If you are a new volunteer or employee you can download the form here.
If you have already had a CRB Disclosure through British Rowing which is now due for renewal (currently every three years) you need to contact your CWO and ask them to e-mail the British Rowing CRB Administrator, stating your full name, your role, your club and your residential address. We can only request disclosures for roles that have significant access to juniors - we cannot process applications that state 'club member' or 'club captain'.
When you receive your application form please check that the details are correct and remember to use black pen to complete. If you have any queries use the contact number below.

Section H

Section X
You have now completed your part of the form and you need to take it, together with at least three original identification documents, to your Club Welfare Officer. If you can take a passport, driving licence and utility bill that would be ideal. Your CWO will then record the details of some of these documents in Section X and will use a documentary evidence sheet to note that at least two have verified your current address. It is then your CWO's responsibility to send the application form, together with the documentary evidence sheet and if relevant, your address history, directly to the Child Protection Officer at British Rowing, 6 Lower Mall, London W6 9DJ, for completion of Section Y.
Club Welfare Officers and their family members should ask the Club Secretary, Captain or Chairman to complete Section X. Comprehensive guidance for CWOs on checking and validating identification documents is available to download from the Guidance section.
If you have any questions at all about the process please email Laura Fieldman, Child Protection Administrator, at British Rowing or telephone 020 8237 6707.
