Veteran Rowing

British Rowing veteran rowers range in age from 31 to over 80 and this is often a highly competitive category of racing. British Rowing's Veteran's Commission is responsible for pursuing all aspects of the sport that concern veteran rowing, increasing participation and developing opportunities for competition.

Known internationally as 'Masters' the veteran rowers have an annual championships called the FISA Masters Championships. Veteran events that are run under FISA rules accept veteran rowers from the age of 27.

There is a National Veteran Championships which takes place annually in June and the Vesta Veterans Head (March) and the Veterans Fours Head (November) are also hotly contested events.
