GB Rowing Team members return to Dorney Lake

GB Rowing Team members return to Dorney Lake for the first time since the Olympic and Paralympic Games next weekend (20/21 October).

The Diamond Jubilee Rowing Championships is taking place there to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s reign.

Paralympians and Olympians will be on hand to sign autographs and many will also race for their clubs on one or both of the racing days.

GB gold medal winners Kat Copeland and Alex Gregory and the Chambers brothers and Chris Bartley – from the lightweight men’s four – all look set to race on the Sunday.

Aspirants for the Rio 2016 Games will be in action across the two days as the event forms part of next season’s trials and assessment programme.

Crews racing will compete for the title of British Champion. There will be a Victor Ludorum trophy for the best all-round club crew.

Each event features a time trial, seeded semi-final and final. The racing programme is as follows:

Saturday: 08.30 – 17.30
Double scull and four
Open, Open U23,
Women and U23 Women,
Open and U23 Open Lightweights,
Lightweight and U23 Lightweight Women
Open U19 and Women U19s

Sunday: 08.30 – 16.30
Quadruple scull and eight
Open, Open U23,
Women and U23 Women,
Open and U23 Open Lightweights,
Lightweight and U23 Lightweight Women
Open U19 and Women U19s

Visitor entry to the Championships will be charged at £10 per car and £15 per minibus each day, payable by cash only at the entrance.
