Sam Scrimgeour

Sam raced in the lightweight men's quad at the 2010 World Rowing U23 Championships in Brest, Belarus winning a bronze medal.

Sam started rowing in 2005 in his first year at Strathclyde University where he studied for and achieved a Masters in Aero-Mechanical Engineering.  In 2009 he won a gold medal in the lightweight men's four at the National Championships.

When not rowing, Sam enjoys working on the farm where he grew up and cycling.  In April/May 2008 he cycled 7001 km in 59 days from Singapore through Malaysia, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam, finishing in Hanoi.  

His ambition is to take part in the Olympics.
