Ross Hunter

At the 2009 World Championships in Poznan, Ross finished 5th in the lightweight men's pair with Oli Mahony.  This followed a 7th place finish at the third World Cup in Lucerne.

Ross learnt to row at Poplar, Blackwall and District Rowing Club under the guidance of his father.  He has represented GB at junior, U23 and senior levels.  In 1999 he won gold at the World Junior Championships in the coxed four.  Two years later at the U23 World Championships he finished 4th in the lightweight four, and won a bronze in the lightweight pair in 2003.  In 2006 Ross was selected for the senior team, finishing 4th in the lightweight quad at the World Championships.

He also works as a Waterman and Lighterman on the River Thames.
