Peter Marsland

Peter was selected as a men's sweep spare for the 2009 World Championships in Poznan.
He learnt about rowing as a rugby player at Hampton School but did not take it up until a succession of injuries at university forced him to stop playing rugby and he began looking for an alternative competitive sport.
Peter won his first GB vest in 2007, winning bronze in the men's coxed four at the World U23 Championships.
Peter is a keen sports fan. He worked as an accountant for six months, an experience he claims made him more determined to be a successful sportsman.
He graduated in economics at Nottingham University in 2007 and is now at Cambridge where he raced in the Blue Boat in 2008 and 2009.
Peter is Lottery Funded through UK Sport.
