Nick Strange
Nick is training as a High Performance Coach as part of UK Sport's pioneering Elite Coach Scheme, which aims to fund talented young coaches of the future.
Nick joined the first intake of the scheme in 2004 and is employed by the ARA with a grant from UK Sport.
Nick was selected as a coach with the lightweight squad at the Athens Olympics in 2004 and is working currently with women's and lightweights' boats under Chief Coach Paul Thompson.
He retired from competitive rowing in 2002 after a very successful career which included five senior World Championship medals and one U23 medal.
Nick is a qualified accountant and enjoys most sports including skiing and walking.
