Kat Copeland

Kat was selected in the lightweight single for the 2009 World U23 Championships, where she narrowly missed out on a medal, finishing 4th.

She first represented Great Britain as a junior at the Coupe de la Jeunesse, where she won a gold in the women’s single in 2008 and a gold in the women’s quad in 2007. She learnt to row at Yarm School which has produced a number of GB junior and U23s in the past few years.

In 2009 she competed at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival, where she won gold in the quad, bronze in the lightweight double and 4th in the eight.

Outside rowing she enjoys watching films, socialising with friends and listening to music.
