David Jones

David raced in the lightweight men's four at the 2010 World Rowing U23 Championships in Brest, Belarus, winning gold.   At the 2009 World U23 Championships he won a bronze medal in the lightweight men's quad. The quad had already shown its high standard that season in winning the Fawley Cup at Henley Royal Regatta.

He raced in the GB team at the Coupe de la Jeunesse in 2005 and 2007 winning silver and bronze in the single and double.

David started rowing at Maidenhead Rowing Club in 1998 because his father rowed there.  He is currently doing an apprenticeship in boat building and repairs with ES Rowing Services.   He also enjoys watching and playing rugby.
