Carla Ashford
Throughout the 2008 World Cup series Carla raced in the eight finishing 5th, 6th and 3rd. She was selected in the eight for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and finished 5th.
She raced in the eight in the 2007 World Cup series, always reaching the A Final and finishing 2nd, 5th and 4th. She won a bronze medal in the eight at the 2007 World Rowing Championships.
At the 2006 World Rowing Championships in Eton Carla again raced in the eight, finishing 8th.
Carla was a member of the women's sweep squad throughout 2005 having won the squad trials. She won bronze in the pair at the Lucerne World Cup in July and was a member of the eight that competed at the Versailles International Match and the eight that performed so well at the World Rowing Championships in Japan, finishing 5th.
Carla learnt to row at Oxford Brookes University in 2000. In 2002 she won the Remenham Cup for women's eights at Henley Royal Regatta and in the same year raced at the World University Championships in the four, finishing 4th.
Carla graduated from Brookes in 2004 with an Honours degree in both Human Biology and Physiotherapy.
