Ben Rowe

Ben has been part of GB Rowing's World Class Start Programme, sponsored by Siemens, since March 2009.

In 2009 he finished as top under 23 and 4th overall in the lightweight single in the 2009 GB Rowing Senior Trials and was selected to represent GB in the lightweight double at the World U23 Championships in Racice, where he finished 9th.

In 2005 he won a gold in the double in the GB U16 team in the GB v France Match.  The following year Ben represented England at the 2006 Home International Regatta where he won gold in the men's single and quadruple scull events.

Ben learnt to row at Yarm School in Teesside. He is currently studying Sports Therapy at the University of Teesside and rows for Tees Rowing Club.

In his spare time he also enjoys cycling, reading and driving his mini.
