London 2012 Paralympic Games
The Paralympic Games derived from an event in London in 1948 staged by British and Dutch war veterans, and in 2012 the Games return to their birthplace with rowing now included as one of 20 sports at the Games.
The rowing regatta will be held at Eton Dorney Lake on the outskirts of London between Friday 31 August 2012 and Sunday 2 September 2012.
If selected, reigning World and Paralympic champion Tom Aggar will be a strong contender to defend his title on home water at the Games.
The GB Rowing Team topped the medal table in Beijing at the 2008 Paralympic Games with gold in the men’s and women’s single scull events and bronze in the mixed coxed four.
