At the World Rowing U23 Championships in Amsterdam, Patrick raced in the men's eight, winning a bronze medal.

Patrick raced in the men's coxed four at the 2010 World Rowing U23 Championships in Brest, Belarus, winning a bronze medal.

Patrick started rowing at school after trying each sport and enjoying rowing the most.  He gained his first international vest in 2007 when he represented GB at the World Rowing Junior Championships where he was 7th in the men's eight.  The following year at the same championships he was 5th in the men's four.

He has also raced for Harvard University where he is studying Government.  His interests outside rowing are country music and NFL American Football, supporting the New England Patriots.
