Calum Wright

Calum raced in the men's eight at the 2010 World Rowing U23 Championships in Brest, Belarus winning a bronze medal.

Calum started rowing after a neighbour, who was a rower at Molesey Boat Club, thought that with his stature he might make a good rower.  He joined the club in 1999 and in his first year became part of British Rowing's Project Oarsome project.

He won his first international vest at the 2006 World Rowing Junior Championships where he raced in the men's coxed four, finishing 9th.  In the 2007 World Junior Championships he came 7th in the men's eight.  He also took part in the Munich International Regatta racing in the men's four.

Calum is currently studying Political Science at the University of California and when not rowing his interests are John Deere tractors, country music and films.
