Andrew Holmes

At the World Rowing U23 Championships in Amsterdam, Andrew raced in the men's eight, winning a bronze medal.

In his first season in the U23 squad, Andrew raced in the men's coxed four at the 2010 World Rowing U23 Championships in Brest, Belarus and won a bronze medal.

As a junior he had a very successful 2009 season, gaining a gold medal in the men's four at the World Rowing Junior Championships in Brive-la-Gaillarde, gold in the four at the Munich International Regatta, winning the Metropolitan Regatta in the Elite Four, taking first place in the J17 single scull at the National Schools Regatta and coming 1st in the Schools Head of the River Race in the junior coxed four. 

Andrew's father Martin rowed internationally at the 1986 Commonwealth Games and for Scotland at Senior B's.  He was his son's first coach at Castle Semple Rowing Club.
