Adam Freeman-Pask
At the 2011 World Rowing Championships in Bled, Slovenia, Adam raced in the lightweight men's single scull and finished 6th.
In Munich at the first World Cup of 2011 Adam and crewmate Chris Boddy in the lightweight men's pair finished in 8th place. In Lucerne, Adam raced with Mark Hunter in the lightweight men's double scull, finishing in 8th place.
At the 2011 GB Rowing Team Senior Trials held on 16-17 April at Eton/Dorney, Adam came 3rd in the lightweight men's single scull.
At the 2010 World Rowing Championships held on New Zealand's Lake Karapiro, Adam with crewmate Chris Boddy was placed 6th in the final of the lightweight men's pair. This followed the 2010 World Cup Series where Adam and Chris won a bronze medal in Bled and took 4th place at Munich and Lucerne.
He started rowing at 14 during his first year at school, encouraged by his school's previous success at the sport. He was selected for Great Britain at junior level for the Coupe de la Jeunesse in 2003. He went on to win the BUSA title in men's lightweight single sculls for 3 years running; in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
In 2006 Adam also raced in the lightweight men's single scull at the World University Championships. He represented Great Britain at the 2006 and 2007 World U23 Championships finishing 5th in both - racing in the lightweight single in 2006 and in the lightweight quad in 2007.
Adam raced in the lightweight men's single at the 2009 World Championships in Poznan, taking 8th place, having established himself as a strong contender in the lightweight single in the 2009 World Cup series, making the podium in the first 2 World Cups.
He graduated from the University of Bath in 2006 and is currently studying for a Masters in Environmental Engineering at Imperial College.
In his spare time Adam enjoys sports such as surfing, snow boarding and cycling and also likes going to the cinema and to live gigs.
