Safeguarding & Protecting Children Workshop – Durham

Time: 6:30 – 9:30pm

Description:

The Safeguarding and Protecting Children Workshop is suitable for Club Welfare Officers and anyone in a role with significant access to or responsibility for juniors.

You will be introduced to British Rowing safeguarding policies and procedures, as well as:
• Improving your awareness and evaluation of best practice.
• Raising awareness of the signs of abuse.
• Being provided with detailed guidance on how to receive, record and report allegations.

Other Information:

This workshop is a pre-requisite to the UKCC Level 2 Coaching Course. Upon completion, you should retain your certificate and providing you have completed all three Level 2 Course pre-requisites, you will then be able to book onto the Level 2 Coaching Course. The three pre-requisites are: Capsize & Man Overboard Workshop, Emergency Aid Training and Safeguarding & Protecting Children Workshop.

If you already hold any of these certificates, providing they are still valid for another 6 months of booking your Level 2, you will not need to repeat it. Please contact your Area Education and Training Manager and send them a copy of your current certificate.
